Challenge events

Why not get in shape in 2021 and raise some money for Gateshead Carers along the way?

Taking on a challenge event is a great way to boost your fitness, giving you something to work towards and train for. Adding fundraising into the mix will raise vital donations for the services that we can offer carers, keep you motivated during training and push you towards the finish line during the challenge itself!

Why not sign up to one of these awesome events and get ready to raise some much-needed money to improve the wellbeing of unpaid adult carers:

  • Great North Run 2021- look out for registration details!
  • 13 Mile Hadrian’s Wall Walk 2021 – to take place during Carers’ Week

Challenges come in all shapes and sizes - everything from challenge walks in fancy dress to epic treks and bike rides around the globe! It may be a personal or team challenge, but whatever you choose, you will definitely have fun, feel fitter and raise funds through sponsorship at the same time.

Care to join us?

The Colour Obstable Rush was awesome!!! Climbing under the netting was hard but we had such a laugh at the same time. I am so pleased that I signed up to the challenge! said Laura.
