Care to listen?

We have now released 3 episodes of our Care to Chat podcast chatting with carers, volunteers, and professionals. Each episode covers a different topic which can be chosen by unpaid carers and supporters.

Here are the three episodes we have released so far;

Episode 1 - Befriending Services

We sit down with Paul from our Carer Wellbeing team to chat about what befriending services provide and why they have been so important to unpaid carers across Gateshead over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic in particular.

Episode 2 - Befriending Volunteers

Chatting with one of our volunteers, Irene told us all about the joys of being a Volunteer Befriender, what our volunteering process is like, and why she volunteers with us.

Episode 3 - Carer Café

Stick the kettle on as we speak with carer and volunteer Ian about his time as a regular visitor of our Carer Cafés and learn about the amazing community of unpaid carers who pop in.
