Writers Who Care is a collection of short stories, poems, and songs that tell our story and give you a glimpse into our lives.

Since January 2021, a group of unpaid carers in the North East have been meeting regularly online to take part in creative writing sessions with Liv Hunt. The aim of these sessions was to have a space where we could listen, be heard, connect and support one another. We weren’t too sure what to expect but we all knew we had a story to tell and the want to get our voices heard. And after weeks of connecting, thinking, talking, and writing this is what we have created. An anthology which gives a window into our world. And now we would like to share it with you.

This project was supported and funded by Helix Arts, Gateshead Council Arts Team and Well Newcastle Gateshead.
