Carers Week is back from 5th - 11th June 2023!

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of unpaid carers to highlight the challenges they face and recognise the vital contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.

There are at least 28,000 unpaid carers living in Gateshead. Why is this "at least"? Not everyone identifies as an unpaid carer, with most people believing that they are fulfilling their duty as a friend or family member.

This year Carer's Week will focus on recognising and supporting carers in the community. We want all of Gateshead's community of carers to feel recognised and supported. Take a look at the groups and activities we will be offering throughout Carers Week 2023.
