We invite you to join us in celebrating Volunteers' Week 2020!

"Hello my name is Claire I am the volunteer coordinator at Gateshead carers. As part of our celebrations for volunteers week I would like to say a big thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers. Due to current restrictions some of our volunteer roles have been on hold but a lot of our volunteers have still been available to help with things like telephone befriending, attending to our allotment, sharing their ideas and tips for how to keep busy and to cope with stress while self isolating. Things like cooking, arts and crafts, virtual bike rides, gardening, going for walks and a lot of different things and also supporting each other through our volunteer WhatsApp group. I would also like to welcome some new volunteers who have recently joined us, it’s great to have you on board. So from myself and us all at Gateshead Carers a very big thank you to all volunteers for everything you do and continue to do during these difficult times. Thank you!"
