A series of 5 sessions designed to help and assist those caring for someone with Dementia. The sessions provide information in a structured and accessible way, outlining how Dementia affects the brain and how carers can learn new communication and coping techniques for caring.
What is the session about?
These sessions are delivered over a 5 week period (3 hours per week) and provide valuable information for those caring for someone with this debilitating condition. For the final session, carers can bring along family members and friends to encourage them to help and support you in your caring role.
- Develop increased understanding of Dementia
- Gain a better understanding of the relationship between brain, behaviour and memory
- Experience increased confidence in accessing appropriate advice and support
- Explore communication & coping strategies all stages of Dementia.
