If you want to learn how to use any modern communication device such as a; mobile phone, laptop, personal computer (PC), tablet or Kindle, then this is the course for you! Sessions will be tailored to cover topics requested by the attendees, such as using a tablet or a Smart phone.
What is this session about?
These 2 hour sessions are delivered over a 10 week period and introduce carers to the basic skills required to use a variety of information technology (IT) equipment. Covering everything from how to switch a computer on to holding a mouse, using a keyboard, sending an email, using social media and the internet, to shopping and making payments on-line safely.
Carers will gain…
- Increased confidence in using a computer or other devices
- Experience of setting up your own email account and how to use it
- Experience of how to search, save and print information from the internet
- Knowledge of social media and how to engage with other people
- Understanding of how to use the internet safely
